How to get your whole wedding home — cars and all

Every wedding has a transport plan for the couple. Almost none have one for the ninety guests who drove themselves to a venue in a vineyard.

The problem with the usual answers

• “Everyone will nominate a driver.” Some will. Then one of them has a drink at the speeches, and the plan quietly collapses.
• “They can get a rideshare.” At a regional venue, at 11pm, ninety people at once. There are not that many cars, and the ones that come surge hard.
• “A bus.” Good for getting people there. It does nothing about the cars in the paddock, which are still there on Sunday.

What a driver team actually does

We bring a team of drivers to the venue. Guests hand over their keys as they leave, a driver takes them home in their own car, and the fleet of cars in the car park goes home with the people who own them.

1. Tell us the venue and the numbersGuest count, rough spread of where people are heading, and when the bar closes.
2. We size the teamDrivers are staged at the venue for the end of the night rather than dispatched one at a time.
3. Guests hand over keysNo app to download at 11pm, no one arguing about who is least drunk.
4. Everyone and every car goes homeThe car park is empty on Sunday morning and nobody is driving back out to collect anything.

Who pays

Either way works. Hosts often cover it as part of the reception and receive one invoice, or guests pay for their own trip on the night. Tell us which when you book so the drivers know what to say.

Book it earlier than you think

Wedding season books out. If your date is in the spring or the run-up to Christmas, talk to us as soon as you have a venue — sizing a team is easy in advance and hard on the day.
